Hi, I'm Katelyn!

I approach therapy as a place where you can be seen and heard in all phases of your life. I specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety and stress often as a result of trauma, relational wounds, and overwhelming circumstances in life.

I work with many women who have so much on their plates, from parenting to juggling work environments and life transitions. Wearing all these hats can feel burdensome and sometimes cause you to lose connection to yourself and others. The women I work with are experiencing anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed, which they notice negatively impacting their daily lives and relationships.

I create an environment that is calming and safe for you to express yourself and be heard. Our time together is where you can attune to yourself in a stable and secure place. In sessions, I bring a supportive and compassionate presence that allows you to move towards healing from past wounds, finding healthy ways of coping, and taking care of yourself in a loving way.

You don't have to figure this out on your own. My approach to therapy is holistic and relational, where we can collaboratively work towards your healing, discover your strengths, and instill hope. We will work towards naming what you're feeling, communicating with others in healthier ways, and finding tools to deal with your anxiety and stress better. I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Restoration Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Informed approaches in our sessions based on what fits your needs best.

At a young age, I read a book that changed the course of my life, and through that, I was inspired by the healing work therapy provided for those recovering from trauma, anxiety, and relationship issues. I decided to pursue psychology to be a therapist so that I could walk alongside women who have experienced difficulties in their lives that prevent them from flourishing. Both personally and professionally, I've witnessed how therapy can transform people's journeys and move them toward healthy and full lives. I'm truly passionate about this work, and I am honored to support every person I spend time with.

I work collaboratively with you to identify and plan your goals that will help you progress toward living a life that reflects your values. I focus on giving my clients tools to utilize each week so that they can work towards their goals. These tools you use to regulate yourself and cope better, leading you toward peace, strength, and confidence.

Philosophy

I believe that our bodies are not separate from our souls. Healing begins with the recognition that each element of our lives is interconnected, and we cannot address one without addressing the others. From a holistic standpoint, I will help guide you in identifying the unhelpful behavioral/relational patterns in your life and move towards understanding where they come from, how to cope with them, and change them into healthy patterns.
